→Students currently attending an HISD school:
· If you are a rising 9th grader, currently attending an HISD middle school with an address zoned to Waltrip or with an approved transfer, you need to complete the online enrollment application. Click here to enroll.
· If you are a rising 10th-12th grader attending another HISD campus with an approved transfer, you need to let your current school know of your intentions of enrolling at WHS for the 2025-26 school year. You must enroll online after you have accepted your transfer.
· If you are a current 9th, 10th, or 11th grade student attending another HISD campus with a new address zoned to WHS you need to let your current school know of your intentions of enrolling at WHS for the 2025-26 school year. You will need to enroll online as soon as possible.
→Students currently NOT attending an HISD school:
If your address is zoned to Waltrip or have an approved transfer BUT currently NOT enrolled in HISD you will need to submit an Enrollment Application and the required documents.

→On Campus Enrollment Support:
Early Enrollment: June 23-25, 2025 for all students from 8:00am - noon and 2:00pm - 3:30pm. No appointment needed.
August Enrollment: August 4-7, 2025 for all students from 8:00am - noon and 2:00pm - 3:30pm. No appointment needed.
After August 7, 2025: Enrollment Appointment will be required. Please call 713-688-1361.
What documents will I need to enroll at Waltrip High School?
It is very important that all documents are uploaded when you apply. Applications can not be processed if documents are missing. Documents will not be accepted via email. They must be uploaded with the application or dropped off at the school.
- Student's Birth Certificate - Required
- Parent/Guardian Identification - Required
- Utility Bill (Gas, Water, Electric) only (NO other bill can be accepted) - Required
- Lease (all signed pages) or HCAD property statement, or mortgage documents - Required
- Final Report Card and/or Transcript that shows promotion into High School– Required
- Immunization Records - Required
- Withdrawal paperwork from your previous school if enrollment is after the 1st day of the start of the school year. - Required
- Other school records; ARD, 504, or LEP paperwork - Optional
- Medical records: allergies, diagnosis, current medical conditions. - Optional
I have submitted everything, now what?
Please watch your email account and phones for a Waltrip number. We will notify you if you are missing any documents. If you receive an email or phone call that you are missing a document, please follow the instructions provided. The Registrar's Office will contact you to set up an appointment to finalize the enrollment process.
